Teaching at the Table
Beginning September 14th, COS will be starting a new, once a month discipleship opportunity. Teaching at the Table will be a time of communion, a meal together, Biblical teaching, roundtable discussion, and prayer.
Teaching at the Table will take place the second Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8 PM. Please fill out a connect card and write “Teaching at the Table” on it letting us know if you will be there along with how many with you. Also, if you are able, please bring a potluck meal or side enough to serve everyone in your party.

Parenting Class
Jonathan and KC Whitney will be teaching a parenting class for parents of kids under 6th grade. This class will be on Wednesday nights, September 21 - November 9 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. If you are interested in joining the class or have questions, fill out a connect card or contact Jonathan or KC.

Child Care Position
COS is searching for a child care worker on Sunday mornings from 8:30am to 12pm and special events as needed. This is a paid position and requires an application and background check. Support Our Shepherd's Way
Our Shepherd's Way sober living home is holding a raffle for a beautiful custom-made quilt donated by the Grand Lake O' The Cherokees quilters guild. Tickets are $1 each, and the quilt is currently at Rustic Rehab. All proceeds will be used to support women in recovery. Drawing will be September 6. Weekly Bible Studies and Groups

COS Wednesday Night Student Ministry
 COS Youth for 7th - 12th grade
Is our Wednesday night program for 7th - 12th grade. Check-in starts at 5:30pm, activities begin at 6:00pm and end around 7:30pm. This ministry follows the GPS school calendar and school inclement weather policy.

COS Kids, A-Team for 3rd - 6th grade
Is our Wednesday night AWANA program for 3rd - 6th grade. Check-in starts at 5:45pm, activities begin at 6:00pm and end at 7:30pm. For safety and security, all students must be accompanied by an adult during the check-in process. AWANA Children's Ministries™ develops a biblical foundation and teaches kids to live a life of wisdom and grace. Register your child for A-Team by clicking on this link. COS Student Ministries is always looking for energetic volunteers who are passionate about teaching children about Jesus. Volunteer opportunities for Sunday morning include nursery (0-2 years), Little Ones (3-5 years) and COS Kids (6-12 years). Wednesday evenings include COS Kids in 4th - 6th grade and COS Youth in grades 7th - 12th. Support positions are available as well. These include check-in assistance and sound booth technicians. A Few Good Men

Bible Study Fellowship
BSF meets at COS during the school year on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8PM. Men, women, and children ages 6-18 are welcome to join and will be studying in separate small groups, but all the same material. Narcotics Anonymous
This group meets in the COS Kid's Wing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am, and Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evening at 7pm. The purpose of this group is to provide help from peers and offer an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain a drug-free lifestyle. Narcotics Anonymous, is not meant to imply a focus on any particular drug; NA’s approach makes no distinction between drugs including alcohol. Membership is free, and there is no affiliation with any organizations outside of NA including governments, religions, law enforcement groups, or medical and psychiatric associations. Rider's Support Groups
There are two support groups for parents and family members who are living with or have lost a child or loved one to addiction that will meet at COS on Monday evenings beginning August 22, 2022, in the COS Kid's Warehouse.
Rider's Mom is a loving supportive group for those who have lost a child or loved one to addiction and will meet from 6pm to 7pm.
Rider's Legacy is a non-profit, non-judgmental group for parents or family members of children suffering from the disease of addiction and will meet from 7pm to 8pm.
